Huon or Matschie’s Tree Kangaroo – Signed Fine Art Print

Fine art illustration of a Huon or Matschie’s Tree Kangaroo (Dendrolagus matschiei.) The illustration is available in black and white or color. Artist’s notes: The Huon Tree Kangaroo was completed on 9.1.2010. I can’t recall where I first came across an image of a tree kangaroo, but immediately I felt a connection to this wonderful animal. As I did some research, I quickly realized there were a few different species, and I had to settle on one. At least for the first illustration. Of course, I wanted to show a mother with young, peeping out of this marsupial’s distinctive pouch. I added this kangaroo to a collection of animals I find to be as amazing as anything from another planet imagined by sci-fi writers.
