Fine art illustration of a Gall Wasp (Andricus quercuscalifornicus.) The illustration is available in black and white or color. Artist’s notes: The Gall Wasp was completed on 11.13.2012. As part of a large project for the California State Parks, the drawing of this insect was needed for a series of new exhibit panels in a newly renovated park building. I really love drawing insects and something about their anatomy really lends itself to the medium of ink and digital tinting. The drawing is based on a photo by Gary McDonald.
