Information about the Sally Lightfoot Crab: The Sally Lightfoot Crab – also called the Red Rock Crab or abuete negro is a small crustacean. The brightly colored version pictured above can be found in the Galapagos Islands and other tropical locations, although other more drab versions are also commonly found all along the western coast of South America. They live among the rocks near the seashore, often in very turbulent conditions. Like many other crabs it feeds on algae, vegetable and plant material and occasionally carrion.
