Description The texture of raw silk is uneven and it often lacks the smoothness and luster that normal silk has. Raw silk is woven from untreated yarns which contain sericin. In its most natural form, the yarns are quite uneven and that gives the fabric a slightly coarse yet smooth texture with a gorgeous sheen. Pure silk is woven after treating the yarns chemically which removes all sticky protein layers. Raw silk also called ‘Paat,’ ‘Resham,’ and ‘Pattu’ in different parts of India, is the most natural kind of fine fiber that can be weaved into various textiles easily. This Beige/Gold and magenta raw silk saree can be styled with a pair of matching gold patent pumps for an evening out.
